Rhinoplasty

The tip of the nose is shaped by acting on the cartilage, either by reducing or increasing it through grafts. The height and width of the nose are reduced by two lateral osteotomies, which turn in the nose bone. After these first steps, we can appreciate the residual width at the base of the nose. If necessary, the nostril openings can also be reduced.

It is possible to remodel the tip of the nose, in order to refine it, raise it or move it back if necessary, but only after puberty has ended. Between 30 and 50 years old, rhinoplasty often brings a rejuvenating effect, particularly when the nose is narrowed because it is too long or too wide.

Rhinoplasty is most often performed in younger patients, after  adolescence or even earlier if the discomfort is too much and nasal growth has ended.

DURATION OF INTERVENTION: 1h30
REPITITION / DURABILITY: Retouch is possible
General anaesthesia
FINAL RESULT: immediate and optimal after 10 days

Rhinoplasty is most often performed under general anesthesia, but in some cases, particularly during touch-ups, local anesthesia combined with intravenous sedatives is possible.

The dissection of the nose is done through invisible incisions, made inside the nostrils, but it can also be practiced by passing through the columella (area between the nostrils). This an “external” way that is reserved for complex first rhinoplasties or difficult revisions.

Each constitutive anatomical element of the nose can be subject to a precise and particular surgical correction. The first stage of the intervention consists in treating the defects of the septum when they exist and interfere with nasal breathing.

MEDICAL RHINOPLASTY

It is possible to correct certain smaller defects of the nose with a simple injection of either Hyaluronic acid or Radiesse.
This technique is easy and widely used in the event of a defect after surgical rhinoplasty.
